Center for Advice and Support for Parents and Children

We are VERY PLEASED to announce that Christian Aid Foundation in partnership with Preventis Association, both in Cluj, have combined human and material resources to build a CENTER FOR ADVICE AND SUPPORT FOR PARENTS AND CHILDREN.

This center will conduct the following types of programs:

• Mentoring for children exposed to risk situations;
• Groups for developing life skills in children and adolescents;
• Programs for the prevention of substance abuse in children and adolescents;
• Support groups and educational seminars for parents and other adults involved in children's education;
• Social and psychological counseling for children and parents.

The Center aims to continue and expand the "BIG and small, Friends are All" and "Youth Inquire" programs conducted by the Foundation over the last 3 years.

The activity of the Center began in October, 2009. We would love for you to participate in this new initiative by:

• donating a running computer for the "computer use" courses held for the adolescents;
• contributing financial support toward the child-volunteer student mentoring relationships or the costs of group activities with children / adolescents and parents;
• involvement as volunteers: mentors, entertainers for group activities, instructors for English language instruction and computer use, administrative and fundraising activities;
• prayers for the impact of activities in the lives of children, adolescents and parents.
